Castlemaine Children’s Choir

Note: The Castlemaine Children’s Choir will be taking a break during term two and will be back in action again in term three.

The Castlemaine Children’s Choir is now in it’s second year!

It’s open to all children in the shire aged 7 and above who would enjoy singing in a larger group. The choir provides the opportunity to develop musical skills and perform as a group. Sessions involve:

  • vocal warm ups;
  • pitch and rhythm activities;
  • music games;
  • learning new pieces;
  • and some collaboration with local musicians.


Where: Choir takes place Saturday mornings at the Senior Citizens Hall, Mechanics Lane, Castlemaine.

When: 7 and above – 10.30-11.15

Cost: $60 for the 7 week term – from Saturday February 3rd to Saturday 24th March (Note: long weekend of March 10th will not run)

Choir Leader: Tim Watson studied music at the Victorian College of the Arts for ten years and has been a primary school teacher and teacher of music to a variety of ages.
