Mainesong

Maine Song is a mixed community choir with an eclectic repertoire aimed at singers looking for a bit extra. We enjoy singing together – as you can see from our picture, taken in the Quarry at the Dookie Earthed Festival in October 2014.

The repertoire includes Gospel, African, European, Asian, Old/Middle English and other music through the ages. This is a choir for serious singers, especially those who can read music. Vocal technique is taught by a professional musician.

The choir works toward a concert at the end of each school term.

When: Wednesdays 7.30 – 9.30pm during school terms

Venue: Castlemaine Uniting Church Hall – Kinder room, Lyttleton St. Castlemaine 3450

Fee: $9 waged, $6 unwaged per session
