Castlemaine October Senior Citizens Events Calendar


Seniors Cricket Match:

As an introduction to the festival there will be a friendly cricket match between a senior Castlemaine team and a combined country eleven from the Over Sixties Cricket Association. They compete for the perpetual Mt Alexander Shire trophy  (currently held by the OSCA) It starts at 11am at the Harcourt Recreation Reserve and ends at about 3.30 pm. All amenities are on site, including a BBQ lunch. A good fun day.

Hans Christian Andersen – Delightfully Danish:

Join the ladies of Harcourt CWA for an afternoon of entertainment as they interpret several of Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tales. Including: The Emperor’s New Clothes, The Ugly Duckling, Thumbelina, and The Princess and the Pea.

Castlemaine Lawn Tennis Club provides friendly games of tennis on synthetic grass courts

Metcalfe Senior Citizens provide a movie and lunch. This month’s movie is ‘Road to Bali’, a comedy starring Bing Crosby, Bob Hope, and Dorothy Lamour. A two course lunch will be provided, and afternoon tea and discussion following the movie.

Maldon Neighbourhood Centre with Maldon & Baringhup Agricultural show:

Maldon Agricultural Show has been going since 1885, and except for the war years has not ceased operation.
The show tries to accommodate interests for all the family.
