Singing Groups at Castlemaine Community House
Castlemaine
Community House is home to a number of wonderful singing groups, all of which perform regularly in town and elsewhere. If you
are new to Castlemaine, we can offer you a friendly and tuneful group
to join.
Acafellas
Acafellas is a men's choir. The members have been singing together for ten years, but you don't have to be an experienced choir member to join. Ordinary blokes, heavenly voices!
Acafellas meet on Tuesdays, 8-10pm during school terms.
Chat Warblers
Women are welcome to join the Chat Warblers. This
is a large women’s a capella group which meets to sing, talk and share
food on Thursday evenings from 7.30-9.30pm during school terms. Anyone is welcome to come along, but please phone Jane Thompson, the group leader, on 5472 3382.
The Warblers meet every Thursday evening 7.30pm - 9.30pm.
Cost: $8 a week ($6 concessions)
Mainesong
Mainesong is a mixed group which meets on Wednesday evenings from 7.30-9.30pm. They have developed a very eclectic repertoire under the direction of Carl Pannuzzo. Carl Pannuzzo is a wonderful leader, inspiring the creation of a beautiful selection of songs.
Experience is not required as the group supports learning to shine the light and enjoy singing.

Sessions cost $9 or $6 with a concession card.
Blenders
The Blenders are an all-women a capella group and have been together for eight years. They are not recruiting new members at present.
The Blenders meet every Tuesday 1.30-3.30pm.
Gold coin donation.
Peace Choir
The Peace Choir is a partnership between Windarring, St Lukes, Main Connection and Castlemaine Community House.
Clients of the above organisations with carers, family and friends are the choir members. Jane Thompson and James Rigby lead this choir. Contact Jacinta Walsh at the Community House on 5472 4842 for more information. The choir meets regularly and performs frequently.
