Seniors Festival at U3A

U3A Castlemaine are holding a number of classes and events during the Senior’s Festival.
A great way to sample some of their groups and classes  and meet some new people.

This a fun game – almost addictive so do come and join us!
All welcome and we will supply the boules. Please wear a hat and bring water to drink.

Circle Dancing:

Come and join our circle dancing and have fun with the steps, music and rhythm of dances from around the world. No partner, or dance experience required.

Movies of Merit:

For lovers of film, with a focus on production as well as pleasure. Films shown are well regarded internationally and make you think. We watch a film then discuss and rate it.

Mindfulness Meditation:

Mindfulness meditation will gently guide you into your body’s own restful ease and gradually develop awareness of negative thoughts that cause tension and stress.

U3A Choir:

Some of our songs are sung in harmony, and many are sung in unison to keep variety in our program.

Tai Chi:

Visitors are welcome to the class. Come and join us for a Watch & Try Session. Wear loose clothing and flat comfortable shoes.

Table Tennis:

Play table tennis in a friendly non-competitive spirit. Great fun, good exercise and great for hand eye co-ordination. Bats ,coaching and refreshments available.

Social Rubber Bridge:

Relaxed Bridge. No partner required. Only basic knowledge of bridge needed.

Duplicate Competition Bridge:

Some experience of duplicate play in bridge needed. A partner must be pre-arranged (ring Tutor).
