Home Garden Irrigation Workshop

This workshop has been postponed until 2020.

 

We will look at a range of options to irrigate your gardens – some are in place and some will be installed during the workshop.

  • Drip irrigation [mainly for fruit trees and other trees].
  • Sprayers and soakers for vegetables.
  • Discussion about what is best in typical garden situations.
  • Timers and manual systems.

A minimum deposit of 25% must be paid before Friday 1st November to secure a place in this course.

Tutor: Ian Lillington

Ian Lillington has been pruning fruit trees for decades. With his partner Marita, they run an orchard on half an acre in Campbells Creek, with about 30 fruit-producing trees.

Ian has also been involved in permaculture design and teaching since the early 1990s. Working alongside David Holmgren and learning from Bill Mollison, Ian is passionate about urban food forests and natural building.

Ian is author of an introduction to permaculture “The Holistic Life – a Beginners’ Guide to Permaculture”, and is featured in the anthology – “Permaculture Pioneers” and wrote the chapter on Permaculture in the “Encyclopedia of Sustainability”
