Autism is a lifelong condition and there is no evidence of increased prevalence, just increased diagnoses. Autism is a natural difference in brain structure that may be characterised by differences in social interaction, language use, sensory differences and a preference to focus on topics of interest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mount Alexander Shire is home to Australia&#8217;s first neurodiversity arts festival, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.neurokin.org.au\" title=\"\">Neurokin Arts Festival<\/a> (formerly Sensory Sanctuary). Neurokin Arts Festival will be held by Louise Cooper and ARCANE in June 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recently Louise wrote the book <em>Welcome Neurokin, I am Autistic<\/em> in consultation with the Autistic community.
