Wicking Beds Workshop

Learn the benefits and the principals of wicking bed construction!

Wicking beds are designed to be self-watering, with the water ‘wicking’ up through the soil. This reduces the amount of water and maintenance that a regular garden beds requires while still producing an abundance of fresh fruit, veggies and other plants.

Participants will work together to create 2 wicking beds at Taradale Primary School, as well as receive an information booklet ‘Wicking Beds: Why they work & how to make them.’
