The ELM Peer Support Group For People Bereaved By Suicide

The ELM Peer Support Group meets monthly on the last Monday night of the month, at The Castlemaine Safe Space, 74 Mostyn Street Castlemaine, from 6-7:30pm (see flyer below), and is open to anyone who has been affected by the loss of another by suicide.

Our meeting formats are relaxed and inclusive. There will be an introduction topic to discuss, otherwise the conversation will be focused on whatever participants want to share or would find helpful. The group is friendly and warm, and aims to provide a place for sharing, discussion, and hope, and to reduce social isolation and stigma around suicide.

 We are an open group, so anyone is free to attend any meeting. The group is run by volunteers who have lost someone they love to suicide, and have been trained to help support others.

Please email or call if you would like more information or would like to chat beforehand,

Thank you,

About the ELM Network:

The ELM Network ~ Every Life Matters ~ is a suicide prevention and awareness group in Mount Alexander, established in late 2016. We are community members and service providers who have been impacted by suicide, who are passionate about mental health promotion and suicide prevention, and who want to strengthen the community we live in.

We aim to:

  • increase understanding and awareness of suicide and suicide prevention;
  • increase the capacity of the community to look after ourselves and each other; and
  • support people bereaved by suicide.

Keep up to date with what we’re up to on our facebook page here.

This  page does not provide a counselling or support service and we are not set up to respond to anyone who might be experiencing a crisis in their lives.
