We are an independent advocate proudly auspiced by Castlemaine Community House.  Our aim is to promote systemic change that supports equitable social participation for the wide range of disabilities experienced by residents in Mount Alexander Shire.

 

We understand the importance of social inclusion for everyone, including people with disabilities, their families and carers.

Castlemaine Join the Celebration

MASDAG Members Sue, Paul and Chairperson Lorraine, were recently featured in the Castlemaine Mail highlighting the fantastic work the group do in the community including the successful campaign to install wheelchair-friendly swimming pool hoist equipment and raising awareness for International Day of Disabled Persons.

Disability Access for Swimming Pool

There is now disability access at the swimming pool in the Castlemaine Fitness Centre on the corner of Lyttleton and Frederick Streets.  A hydraulic chair lift has been installed which provides independent access in and out of the water.  This project was funded by the Pick My Project grant initiative of the Victorian Government.
