The 2025 International Day of People with Disability event is organised by Mount Alexander Shire Council. Join us on Wednesday, 3 December, 11am – 12:45 at Victory Park/Djaara Park, Castlemaine. Windarring are hosting a film screening at the Theatre Royal, Castlemaine, from 1:00pm–3:00pm, which will flow on well from our community event/lunch in the park.
International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) is a United Nations observed day celebrated internationally on the December 3rd each year. It aims to increase public awareness, understanding and acceptance of people with disability and celebrate their achievements and contributions.
The Australian Government has been supporting IDPwD since 1996 and provides funds to promote and raise awareness of the day around Australia.
